Musical Adapted by: Lisa Kron & Jeanine Tesori

Based on Graphic Novel by: Alison Bechdel

This is the first Off-Broadway production, it took place six miles down the road from the playhouse that Helen Bechdel costume designed and performed at. Bruce Bechdal was a board member as well. Being so close to the town where the story takes place, the props designer and I were able shop at antique stores in the surrounding cities and find pieces similar to those depicted in the graphic novel, even books that Bruce owned himself.

Paper Props

A Comedy of Tenors

Play by: Ken Ludwig

A farce set in a 1930's Paris hotel room. Like most farce productions there were always slamming doors presenting us with the challenge of securing props and dressing to the set. For this show, we were able to pull mostly from stock.

Spamalot

Musical by: Eric Idle

This was the show of 30 second props. Though the props were simple, there was a lot of them that were only on stage for 30 second bits. This was also a heavy custom build prop show. Most props were shop made and re-purposed items from our stock.
